Award Sweet Spots

Get Maximum Value From Your Points

Sweet spots are award redemptions that offer exceptional value - often 2-5x what you'd get from typical redemptions. We've analyzed thousands of award prices to surface the best deals.

What are sweet spots?

  1. 1. These are award redemptions where the points cost is far below the cash price
  2. 2. Filter by cabin and program to find deals for your trip
  3. 3. Click any sweet spot to see the full award chart for that program

Why Sweet Spots Matter

What is a Sweet Spot?

A sweet spot is an award redemption where you get significantly more value than typical. For example, using 12,500 points for a $500 flight (4¢/point) vs. the typical 1-1.5¢/point value.

How We Calculate Value

We compare points required against typical cash prices for similar routes and cabins. Higher CPP (cents per point) means better value. Anything above 2¢ is excellent for airlines.

Finding Availability

Sweet spots exist because award charts are fixed, but cash prices vary. The key is finding award availability on premium routes where cash prices are high.

Track Your Points Toward Sweet Spots

Sign up for CardCurator to track your points across all programs, set goals for specific redemptions, and get alerts when you have enough points for sweet spot awards.
