Transfer Bonus Alerts

Banks occasionally offer 20–30% extra points when you transfer to an airline or hotel partner. These deals last only days — CardCurator emails you the moment they go live.

What is a transfer bonus?

When you transfer points from a bank program (like Chase Ultimate Rewards) to an airline or hotel (like World of Hyatt), you normally get a 1:1 ratio — 10,000 Chase points become 10,000 Hyatt points.

During a transfer bonus, the bank temporarily increases that ratio. A 30% bonus means:

Example: 30% Chase → Hyatt bonus

100k

Chase UR

130k

Hyatt points

+30,000 free points

≈ $660 in value

Why you don't want to miss them

They only last days

Most transfer bonuses run 2–5 days. Miss the window and you wait months (or years) for the next one.

They add real dollars

A 25% bonus on 200,000 points = 50,000 extra points. At 1.7¢/point that's $850 in free travel you didn't have before.

They aren't publicized widely

Banks post these quietly on their websites. No press release, no email blast. Most people find out days after they've expired.

How the alerts work

1

CardCurator monitors every major bank-to-partner transfer route continuously.

2

The moment a bonus is detected, every CardCurator user gets an email.

3

The email shows the bonus percentage, which programs are involved, and how many days are left.

4

No setup required — alerts are automatic from the day you sign up.

Zero setup. You don't need to subscribe or configure anything. As long as you have a CardCurator account, you're covered.

When should you transfer?

Not every bonus is worth acting on. Before transferring:

  • Make sure you have a specific redemption in mind. Points transferred to airlines or hotels are hard to get back.
  • Check that your goal requires those specific partner points (e.g. you need Hyatt specifically, not just "hotel points").
  • Confirm the program has availability for your dates before transferring — especially for flights.
  • Compare the bonused rate to alternatives. Sometimes a different program offers better value even without a bonus.
Golden rule: Only transfer when you're ready to redeem. Points are most flexible while still in the bank program.
