CardCurator Credit Card MCP

CardCurator connects current credit-card, transferable-points, transfer-bonus, and award-chart data to compatible AI assistants. Use it to research a card, compare options, find category rewards, or understand loyalty-program redemption guidance without leaving your AI.

Transport: Remote Streamable HTTP over POST. Authentication: No account or API key is required for the public, read-only tools. Anonymous use is rate limited.

ChatGPT Developer Mode and compatible remote MCP clients can connect to the public tool set. A CardCurator API key is optional for higher direct-client limits; it is not needed for public research.

What the connector can answer

The connector has 14 read-only tools. Connection setup and tool discovery do not consume the allowance. Anonymous use has a small daily limit; a CardCurator API key has a 100-tool-call monthly allowance.

• search_cards — Search and filter the credit card catalog by bank, program, annual fee, card type, or credit range.
• get_card_details — Get full details for a specific credit card including credits, milestones, perks, APR offers, and portal values.
• list_programs — List all loyalty programs (credit card, airline, hotel) with type, currency, and points valuations.
• get_transfer_partners — Get all transfer partners for a loyalty program, including transfer ratios and any active bonuses.
• get_active_transfer_bonuses — Get all currently active transfer bonuses across all programs. Optionally filter by source program.
• get_award_chart — Get award chart pricing for an airline loyalty program. Filter by cabin class or region.
• get_points_valuations — Get cents-per-point valuations (baseline, floor, ceiling) for loyalty programs.
• search_cards_by_benefit — Find credit cards by specific benefits, credits, or features. Use when asked "which cards have X credit/benefit?" Searches credit names, feature strings, and benefit categories. Returns cards ranked by total annual credit value.
• compare_cards — Compare 2–4 credit cards side-by-side. Returns fees, earn rates, signup bonuses, credits, transfer partner counts, and portal values for each card, plus a highlight summary.
• recommend_category_cards — Find the best credit cards for a specific spending category (e.g., groceries, dining, travel, gas, streaming). Returns cards ranked by earn rate for that category with effective annual fees.
• find_apr_cards — Find credit cards with 0% APR promotional offers. Use when users ask about 0% APR cards, financing purchases interest-free, or balance transfer options. Sorted by longest duration first.
• find_balance_transfer_cards — Find credit cards with 0% APR balance transfer offers. Optionally pass debtAmount and currentApr to calculate exact interest savings and net benefit for each card.
• get_bookable_partners — Get which airlines can be booked (award flights) using a specific airline loyalty program's miles. Use when asked "which airlines can I book with United miles?" or "can I use Aeroplan for Lufthansa?". Distinct from transfer partners — this is about redemption.
• recommend_program_cards — Recommend the best credit cards for a specific rewards program or issuer (e.g., "Chase", "Amex", "Delta", "Marriott", "Hyatt"). Returns cards ranked by overall value with top pick highlighted.

Data freshness and boundaries

Responses include retrieval time, relevant data-as-of information when available, canonical CardCurator URLs, and source links when stored. Award-chart and bookable-partner results are pricing and eligibility guidance, not confirmation that an award seat is available. Confirm live availability before transferring points.
