Search flexible dates

Compare a few dates and nearby airports where that is practical. Look at the miles, taxes, travel time, connection count, and cabin, then check the United award-chart data for current context. A lower mileage figure can still be a poor redemption if it requires a bad schedule or costs more in cash than an alternative.

Earning MileagePlus miles

United flights, eligible partner flights, co-branded cards, shopping and travel partners, and some transferable currencies can build a balance. A co-branded card decision should include its ongoing travel benefits and not just the welcome offer. The United program page provides the current connected-card information.

Partner trips

For partner awards, confirm the operating carrier, each segment, and the all-in cash charge before transferring or buying miles. An award shown in another program is not proof that United can ticket it.
