Program Overview
TAP Miles&Go is the frequent flyer program of TAP Air Portugal (TP), a Star Alliance member and Portugal's flag carrier. Miles redeem for flights on TAP and Star Alliance partners. TAP's Lisbon hub makes it a useful connection point for US–Europe and Europe–Africa routes, particularly for Brazil and Lusophone Africa. Key strengths: TAP is a transfer partner of Citi ThankYou Points, enabling 1:1 transfers; can redeem for Star Alliance partners via TAP; Lisbon hub for Portugal and Brazil routes. Key weaknesses: limited direct US routes; not a primary redemption target for most US-based travelers. Best for: travelers focusing on Portugal, Brazil (TAP has codeshares with Azul and SATA), and Lusophone Africa, or Star Alliance redemptions where other Star Alliance programs don't have availability.

US earning primarily through: - Citi ThankYou transfers (1:1 premium, 10:7 non-premium) - Flying TAP on revenue tickets - TAP's retail and hotel partners in Portugal/Europe TAP does not have a US co-branded credit card. Citi ThankYou is the main source for US-based accumulation.
